Slope season is back in Dubuque

Sundown Mountain is open for the season, and the slopes are ready for you.

With 21 trail runs, most ranging from easy to intermediate, Sundown Mountain in Dubuque enables skiers of all ability levels to have fun. Lessons are available for those who want to learn the basics, and a big drop awaits skiers and snowboarders who want to show off. Plus, Sundown Mountain makes its own snow and stays open after dark.

You can find stay-and-ski packages at several area hotels, including the historic Hotel Julien Dubuque, with its fine dining, spa and Riverboat Lounge, where you can enjoy an apres-ski drink.
