Dining destination: Indian street fusion at Delhicacy

Since she was 10 years old, Delhicacy owner Sneh Chopra dreamed of opening her own restaurant in the United States to highlight the vibrancy of Indian culture. After nearly three years building an enthusiastic following at a stall at the NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids, the New Delhi-area native planted roots at a brick-and-mortar spot in August 2021 near Lindale Mall.

The menu focuses on “Indian street fusion” with various cosmopolitan nods to Canada (poutine chaat), China (chutney-dressed chow mein) and Mexico (a butter masala curry burrito known as the “currito”).
