Her shop’s name is pronounced “Ah-mee.” But the owner herself is simply Amy (Amy Hassebrock, to be exact). Her narrow storefront offers nicely limited numbers of women’s clothing lines and accessories; everything radiates a sunny, go-anywhere-and-live-it-up confidence. No doubt this is because Hassebrock’s dresses, skirts, pants and tops are themselves well-traveled—they arrive fresh weekly from France, Britain, Denmark or Japan. Previously, Hassebrock sharpened her eye for fashion at Ralph Lauren. Her marketing director, Megan Lee, was at BCBG Max Azria.

Right now, Hassebrock’s crushing on her Brazilian riding boots ($100-$250) and killer Cosabella lingerie. Plus, she’s popping corks to toast the launch of her signature perfume, The Scent of Aimée, and skin cream, called Body Souffle (each is $50). Their fragrance? Imagine a heavenly blend of green tea, grapefruit and peony.
