Taste Iowa-made bourbon in Templeton

In the tiny town of Templeton, its namesake whiskey distillery has been working overtime recently to distill its first barrel of bourbon.

Fortitude Bourbon consists of 55% corn, 40% rye and 5% malted barley. All the corn comes from farms within 15 miles of the distillery. Bottles will start showing up in grocery stores this month, but eager customers can make the trip to Templeton for tastings and tours Wednesdays through Saturdays.
